8th May - Booking for Taster sessions start

6th June - 8th June 2012 Taster sessions

As far as our elite gymnasts go, it is not overstating the facts when we say that we are probably considered to be one of the top clubs in the UK by our national and international colleagues. Our results over the past few years have been astounding - but then our gymnasts put in 28hrs plus per week training - more hours than they are educated at school!

"As an elite gymnast, I represented Scotland, Huntingdon and the region in The Melbourne Commonwealth Games. The coaches are fantastic... the new gym will hopefully provide new coaches for the younger ones, so that the senior coaches can dedicate more time to us" - Emma White 16 years old

It goes without saying that we need our new building completed by 2008 in order to provide the right enviroment for our 2012 hopefuls and the many international gymnasts whom we anticipate will need to find first class facilities for pre-Olympic training.

Our junior develpment squads must also not be forgotten - those up and coming young gymnasts who have demonstrated the skills and attitude required to train for greater things - we have in excess of ten of these boys and girls aged between 7 and 11yrs old, training at least three times a week gradually preparing them for the more rigorous training regime to come.

"I am in the National Squad and my aim is to be in the 2016 Olympics" - William Mass Aged 9 years

Junior Elite Boys Medal Winning Bonanza

Huntingdon junior elite boys had a medal winning bonanza over the last two weekends – hauling in an abundance of great results. HGC boys played a significant part in the East region, winning 5 of 7 Team golds and 1 of 2 Team Silvers as well as an individual silver medal and two bronze. William Mas started the ball rolling last weekend taking Bronze at the Elite grades and Harry O’Driscol took bronze in the Setwork Challenge; HGC team-mates Tony Duchars and Charlie Hutchinson also competed well at the events in Leicester.
